Step 1: Start with a GIS Professional user type

ArcGIS Pro is required to use ArcGIS Image Analyst. ArcGIS Pro is licensed by purchasing a GIS Professional user type. User types provide a flexible way to license the capabilities and apps your users need. The GIS Professional Basic user type level provides a user everything they need to get started with ArcGIS Image Analyst. If you have unused GIS Professional user type licenses in your organisation, you can skip to step two.
