Digitising Ireland’s national soil survey
A vitally important national soil survey is now proceeding more quickly, since the traditional paper-based survey method was replaced with a digital data capture process, built with Esri’s ArcGIS technology. Working on behalf of Geological Survey Ireland, Aurum Exploration Services has used this new streamlined workflow to deliver over 30% of the nationwide project in just one calendar year, while making estimated annual savings of €40,000.
