Esri Announces ArcGIS for Home Use

Esri Inc have announced the launch of "ArcGIS for Home Use". It is
designed to make ArcGIS available to anyone (for non-commercial use)
that would like to learn and use Esri software for €130 or £100 per year. Combined with a free ArcGIS Online account, this program provides individuals with a professional GIS system in their home so they can use, create, and share maps and applications.
ArcGIS for Home Use, includes a 12-month term license of ArcGIS Desktop Basic (ArcView) plus select extensions for personal non-commercial use. The product will be delivered via electronic download with backup media available on request (for a small additional fee). The product includes 90 days of installation support supplemented with self-help using the online Support Centre. This is a global offering and is limited to one per individual.
