This announcement is made with regard to Deprecation Plans for ArcGIS 10 and ArcGIS 10.1. 

Esri is committed to providing the best possible support for it's products. Periodically, it is necessary to deprecate specific functionalities and/or platforms to continue delivering optimal support for the remaining Esri software functionalities and platforms.

At the ArcGIS 10 and upcoming ArcGIS 10.1 releases, Esri has a number of changes in functionality and platform support. The ArcGIS 10 & 10.1 Deprecation Plan document provides details on these planned deprecations.
