About this Map
This Interactive Map demonstrates using the twitter template for ArcGIS Online maps. This particular template enables you to visualise tweet's spatially. It can provide real insight into dynamic twitter conversations as they happen across the map.
You can search on whatever topic or subject you're interested in and watch the twitter conversations on the map. The site is international so you could do the same and search for say “President Obama” around the Washington area –or “weather Italy” and see the conversations unfold.
The message is simple - Everything happens somewhere - if you ever wanted to Tweet about a specific GeoLocation you can try out this map - Connect, Target and Tweet. Ultimately these conversations give insights for better Understanding Our World.
ArcGIS.com Map Templates are an excellent way to quickly deploy a web mapping application. They are simple templates designed for common web mapping scenarios. The Templates are typically engineered in JavaScript so they will run without browser plug-in's. This makes them especially useful for public facing applications.
The Templates are open source and can be downloaded from here. Any template can be User configured by a process fully described in the download. If you modify or extend a Template you can share them with the community via our App Gallery where you may also avail of Templates previoulsy shared by others.
