A single, unified platform
LocalView Fusion introduces a single technology platform for Local Authorities to employ whether delivering Geographic Information externally to citizens via the internet, to employees via the intranet, or to partners for co-operation or publication.
GeoTemplates
LocalView Fusion is a ‘plug and play’ platform that enables easy configuration and embedding of Geographic Information into a Local Authority’s existing website via GeoTemplates. These are customised intelligent blueprints that are easy to populate and provision. GeoTemplates are published as GeoWindows.
GeoWindows
A GeoWindow is a ‘window’ into Geographic Information, set within a website. A core capability of LocalView Fusion, GeoWindows enable citizens to access location related functionality in context with associated material (for example, find reports for local schools shown on a map within the Education section). GeoWindows deliver distributable geographic based content and functionality, such as a map or address entry box, to wherever it is needed on the council’s website.
GeoRSS feeds
A type of GeoWindow that enables citizens to subscribe to ‘push content’ based on a location or postcode. For example, a citizen can subscribe to a feed alerting them to planning applications within 400 yards of their home.
Surveys and Questionnaires
The Surveys and Questionnaire GeoTemplate enables authorities to gather valuable intelligence from the public. Examples would be a reporting application, such as the location of fly tipping or potholes or a survey that encouraged citizens to participate in measuring the local garden bird population.
Cloud Ready (partnership working)
Location based functionality can be delivered in collaboration with partners. For example, in a shared services environment, the lead Authority can (with appropriate licensing) host or publish to the sites of aligned authorities.

LocalView Fusion will enable Local Authorities to emulate the very best in intuitive design.
More flexible mapping
Users populating a GeoTemplate can use the base map of their choice including OS Mastermap™, Bing™ Maps, Google™ Maps and Open Street Map.
