Through Our Products
We have donated GIS software to the Irish Natural Forestry Foundation and the Ulster Wildlife Trust in recognition of their efforts to conserve, protect and sustain our environment for everyone’s enjoyment.
Through our Solutions
Energy Action Ltd is an Irish Registered Charity established in 1988, with the main mission is to address the thermal needs of the elderly and needy, and to provide training and employment opportunities for long-term unemployed people that are creative, sustainable and ecologically sound.
ESRI Ireland is working with Energy Action Ltd., to provide a map viewer that will allow the public to find information relation to services in their area. In addition we are providing them with a solution to analyse and visualise location-based data related to energy poverty.
Through our Services
ESRI Ireland is directly supporting the island’s GI Strategy through our NImapWeb, B-Inspired and LocalView Northern Ireland Initiatives.
NImapWeb makes high quality OSNI (Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland) mapping available to every Civil Servant in Northern Ireland at their desktop via the NImapWeb site. This site has dramatically increased both the usage and awareness of the value of easy access to high quality Geographic Information.
B-Inspired is assisting our customers in meeting their obligations under the INSPIRE Directive at little or no cost.
LocalViewNI is a centralised shared service infrastructure for the delivery of citizen facing Local Council service information. There are currently are five participating councils in Northern Ireland Omagh, Derry, Lisburn, Newry & Mourne and North Down Borough Councils.
Through our Events
We provide a range of local and international events in order to help organisations think and plan geographically, including technology updates, on-line webinars, podcasts, User Conferences in Europe along with Developer & International User Conferences in the US.
Through investment in Education
ESRI Ireland has made substantial donations to The National Centre for GeoComputation and ESRI Inc has a dedicated interest in the R&D work undertaken there committing to €500,000 in funding over the next three years – We actively support the The CHEST Agreement and the Science Foundation Ireland’s STAR Programme.
Through on-going Donations and Sponsorship
We provide donations to charities on an on-going basis to Concern and The Simon Community. Other recipient charities include Irish Cancer Society, Action Cancer Northern Ireland, The Clown Doctors, Moving Mountains and The Dunshaughlin Youths Football Club & Malahide Football Club under 12 Teams.
Through our Evironmental Policy
Business activities have an environmental impact. We are committed to minimising these impacts through our recycling and green energy policies e.g.: water & paper consumption, waste management , electricity and space heating.
